Deb Gorsuch brings over thirty-five years of leadership, communications, and organizational expertise to her role. With more than two decades in banking as a teller, bookkeeper, and processor, Deb developed a sharp eye for detail, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency—skills that now serve the Guild’s fiscal and administrative needs. Her fifteen years as a news reporter, covering courts, lifestyle, sports, and community events, reflect her dedication to truth, storytelling, and community engagement, as well as her ability to manage deadlines and coordinate across diverse projects.
Deb’s experience in county government, nonprofit service, and office administration further solidifies her strengths in strategic planning and program oversight. Having held leadership positions—including president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer—within organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Douglas, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and local nonprofits, she has a proven record of strengthening communities through collaborative leadership.
Passionate about service, Deb has also co-facilitated programs such as Celebrate Recovery and Ladies Bible Study, demonstrating her deep commitment to fostering healing, resilience, and empowerment. At Lionheart Guild, she applies her multifaceted background to support organizational growth, community partnerships, and the expansion of programs like the Fremont County Read & Retreat Community Center and Lionheart Group Publishing. With her blend of operational precision, creative problem-solving, and heartfelt dedication, Deb is a vital leader helping to guide the Guild’s mission forward.
Deb continues to volunteer her free time with the organization, championing its mission and serving as a bridge between the Guild, volunteers, and the broader community. Her unwavering commitment to equity, healing, and connection makes her an invaluable part of the leadership team.
